CHIMAMANDA NGOZI

   KNOW THE AUTHOR

"CHIMAMANDA NGOZI ADICHIE"

Novelist and feminist campaigner Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie was born in 1977to a middle-class Igbo family in Enugu, Nigeria. Her mother became the first female registrar at the University of Nigeria, while her father was a professorof statistics there. The fifth of six children, she lived what she describes as a‘very happy childhood, full of laughter and love, in a very close-knit family.’

Gender is the study of women and men among their roles in society. Since theyear of emancipation occurs in all the country, the term gender becomes popular. Talking about gender,  of course, it is the same as talking about feminism. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is one of the most influential women in Africa. Her speech and essay, ‘We Should All Be Feminists’, which serves the idea of feminism have changed the term feminism with a high balance discussion. The study of gender, in Africa, has frequently considered as a taboo because there is no equality
insight between women and men.

At the age seven she began writing all his character where predominantly White skinned and blue eyed as well as nature lovers she said that this was a fantasy she  living in the world of fantasy over time she is realised that she was stuck in a skin colour depute beauty and white skin colour had a profound and profound influence on imagination she says she become out of the groups world and read a lot of books out of which she came out of the colour conflict saying that reading more than one and a lot of diversity literature make broad your perspective variety of literature provides a new vision and embedded the new ideas as well as gives me and new Outlook for equality.

"We Should All Be Feminist " is a Ngozi’s essay which published in the form of
a book in 2014. Before the publication, the essay, which had not completed yet, was used to attend TEDxEuston in 2013.
The essay reviews Ngozi’s idea of experiencing inequality
in the land of Africa. It also contains a discussion between men and women within the poor background of gender in Nigeria. In nowadays
gender in Africa still looked under the definition. Oppression by man,
family, and society can cause bad interpretation that women cannot connect to the world. That way it still happened.

"Show her that she does not need to be liked by everyone. Tell her that if someone does not like her, there will be someone else who will. Teach her that she is not merely an object to be liked or disliked, she is also a subject who can like or dislike."

Speaking on Feminism, She says that women are unhappy because they can't find a husband so they consider herself as happy women.  she mentioning her childhood reminiscences, she is a part of the patriarchy and the male ruling society, saying that in the past of life, she has been a victim of that society.

"You know, you’re a feminist.” It was not a compliment. I could tell from his tone—the same tone with which a person would say, “You’re a supporter of terrorism. "

Regarding gender equality, it states that both men and women are different. Their biological ability is hormones, sexual organs, women's have babies which man don't have.

In patriarchal society one of the reasons that men are paid more than women is because their importance and need are greater only because of their physical strength.  He is the leader of society.

Nowadays we have become more creative intelligent and innovative but the reason for masculinity is because of the idea of racism due to the patriarchal society being laughed at childhood.

"Masculinity is a hard, small cage,
and we put boys inside this cage."

While expressing her views on marriage, it is said that marriage is not a means of happiness , joy the fact is something else. It just ritual  which is beyond from reality. Love is the most important. The most necessary human emotion. Not just romantic love. Love. The ability of human beings to connect.

"Our society teaches a woman at a certain age who is unmarried to see it as a deep personal failure. While a man at a certain age who is unmarried has not quite come around to making his pick."

We are all a social animal and the language of marriage is a subordinate and proprietary language. Always teach the child that a respected woman should be shown to man.

Through some light on the very rigid area of thinking that you always used to teach women's to give sacrifice or compromise in every relationship or in your married life we never ever think accomplish raising women as a competitor as a fighter.  women and women body d is for to drag men's attention.

"If she likes make-up, let her wear it. If she likes fashion, let her dress up. But if she doesn’t like either, let her be. Don’t think that raising her feminist means forcing her to reject femininity. Feminism and femininity are not mutually exclusive."

When she talked about physical state of women or any girl we come to know that we always judge girl for their virginity the honesty this is very strange that we never please a boy for their virginity and also never abused them for that. society construct girls that rape is bad cover  your legs etc.
The real tragedy of our postcolonial world is not that the majority of people had no say in whether or not they wanted this new world; rather, it is that the majority have not been given the tools to negotiate this new world.

This is where the most favourite line by her that

"To be born as a they want be guilty for something one"

One more line which I like too much is that

"Girls grow up to the women book cannot say have desire the girls grow up with the silence themselves the girls grow up to not say what they truly think the girl grows up to would turn to pretend in one art form."

"I’ve been a feminist since I was old enough to think, really. I’ve always been the kind of person who thinks that men and women are equal, full stop.’'

"When we talked about gender equality she use to say that
A problem with sender is describe how we should be rather than how we are."

Raised one more ugly thinking of society that women born with a cooking gin. and how socialization changed her and her perception towards a world how they pressurize women how they customized women how they  treated women. Very consequence for women. The life of women is not an easy anymore.

In We Should All Be Feminists, gender highly shows in understanding the
significance of womanhood. Womanhood is generally something which is taboo. But recalling the new feminism, it can take action with gender together, because the term gender and feminism have been so far changed. The change makes gender in a progressive sense to be discussed in most of the aspect of womanhood. It can be good news to women all over the world, that they indeed are the most important thing in society.

"Teach her never to universalize her own standards or experiences. Teach her that her standards are for her alone, and not for other people. This is the only necessary form of humility: the realization that difference is normal."

So here I am tried to to share and very curious Lee want to know about this feminist character with the help of somewhat and some YouTube video which is used link above. It will helps you to understand more and better way about feminist writer.

                  THANK YOU
