The novel on@cc is written by Chetan Bhagat. 

 In this novel lady told the story of six people who worked in the call center. She told the story to the writer by putting condition that he should write book on it. Life of pi has the same narrative structure Mr. Patel told the story. In both works God is the mysterious and interesting force. The Element of God make both the stories interesting as well as unreliable. There is no any intellectual solution of  the problems. Life of pi' s writer has deep philosophical sense,  Historical sense as well as Religion ( Mythical )  sense which make this work greater in compare to on@cc.  Each and every thing connected with each other in the life of pi. But in the on@cc there is lack of connectivity in the events.

Majority popular literature considered as the literature of current time, current test. It includes the current elements of society such as religion, politics, economy etc.

One more important aspect of popular literature is , it attracts a lot to young generation it should be because most of the young people are habituated to read literature, popular literature is become more worthy while it makes place in young generation people's heart and mind.

Effect of Globalization in ON@CC: 

Globalization is the opening of local and nationalistic perspective to a broader out look of an interconnected and interdependent world with free transfer of capital, goods and services across national frontier globalization has both positive and negative effects, and standers of life and quality of life. We find that call center is the center place, where story moves on. Thus the call center itself is the Company which guide American to use of it, and solve their problem. Thus we can say that Chatan Bhagat wants to give message to the Indian that who working call center (other companies also) they just get good salary but it opportunity to do something else or for their skills and creativity. That way in this novel we find globalization.

Twenty First century is the age of globalization and India cannot go away from the impacts of such changes. Globalization has considerably benefited the urban part of developing India. It has no doubt given many advantages to India but at the same time it has created certain serious issues in Indian urban society especially in the lives of the rising middle class. The physical and economic exploitation of the workers and laborer's, the anxieties and depression due to job insecurity, job dissatisfaction, black money, black marketing and many other such issues in society are results of globalization. A new culture has taken shape in the society in which Western impact is seen apparently dominant. Chetan Bhagat is the novelist whose area of concern is the length and breadth of the entire country especially of the urban areas. The cultural variation of his characters makes difficult for them to adjust in new global culture. As a result they are the victims of cultural clash and this has been beautifully portrayed by Chetan Bhagat in the novel One Night at the Call Centre.

Narrative structure:

We can found many similarities between Yann Martel’s “Life of Pi” and Chetan Bhagat’s “One Night @ the Call Centre”. Both the novel has prologues and epilogues. Both has central theme of God. But there are differences also. Bhagat’s novel has shallowness and because of that it becomes popular literature. While Martel’s novel has become Real literature. We can see Bhagat’s shallowness in his characterization. On the other hand Martel has built his characters very strongly. For example we can take difference in both of the novel about faith in God. Martel has shown his character believe in God because from the childhood he has brought up with different religions. But Bhagat has not shown anywhere his characters praying then even when call of God comes they easily believe in it. This shows Bhagat’s lack of characterization. This way both have similar narratives but comparatively Bhagat lacks the sincerity.

Self help Book:

A self help book is one that is written with the intention to interact it's readers on slowing personal problems. It based on teaching moral lessons and build on philosophy. In this book Chetan Bhagat focus on the real life problems. Shyam Protagonist almost lost his self confident and love, Military uncle who wants to talk with his grandson , Radhika cheated by her husband and demandable mother in law. All are fed up with their boss. They all most lost everything in their life.

The call from God can be considered as, "Inner voice ". The call from God helps characters to know their problems and find out their solutions by themselves. God's call just help them to find the problems and their solutions by showing right path. It's like guidance. All have problems in their lives but the right guidance gives them confident to fight with it. Like this , the call from God gave confident to characters to fight with their problems.

God gave the message that four things need to become successful : 

1) Intelligence 

2) Imagination 

3) Self confidence 

4) Failure 

Thus the book deal with the real problems of the people. The call from God or Inner call gave self confidence and guidance to six people. It shows the right path. Everyone has this kind of problems in their life. By reading this book it help them to know their problem and find it's solution. Also it gives self confidence to people.
