                                       -Charlie Chaplin

“Modern Times” was a wonderful blend of comedy and social drama. The movie provided a look into the world of the great depression by people who lived it. Different elements of the movie portrayed the different difficulties of life in that era. Between bursts of comedy a grand picture of a society in turmoil is produced. Through work shortages, factory closings, labor strikes and political unrest Chaplin’s world shows us another side that people like to forget about the past.

The" Modern times "(1936) is partly ' Slapstick comedy ' and partly 'Melodrama'. Chaplin created his own monument with this film. On the other hand it's stiff to ignore the political component and a satire on the critical maniacal  life and industrialism. The movie starts with some certificates  and with some social symbols....

The symbolism starts  frame by frame such as CLOCK, FOOD, STRIKE ,HOME, NOSE-POWDER, BEE, JOBLESSNESS, AUTOMATIC FOOD MACHINE,NON  STEADY JOB etc. As we seen the #bound_of_ time_
V/S_Respect_of_time.clock as a symbol and the memorable opening shot with a dense mob of sheep crowd of people who comes out to the SUBWAY and entering a factory to dock on.

One of the most funniest sequence is a satire on "TAYLOR-ISM" also known as scientific management. A mad scientist try to sell some stupid #automatic_food_machine to the factory boss for feeding so workers will not require  meal breaks.

The very strong political element in modern times reflected Chaplin's picture of the world and the "TIME OF DEPRESSION". Chaplin presents the #Zeitgeist _fruit _days  which captured here. He encounters an orphan girl named  "Gamin" when she's fleeing the police after stealing a loaf of bread. Jobless people becomes thieves for fulfilling their stomach. They both are nameless, homeless and jobless too. Those guy finds a similar conditions of both and maintain their friendship till the end of the movie.
Once Charlie got a job in a bar as a singing waiter where he uses his own voice first time. Unfortunately, he Forgot the words and sings sounding nonsense and he dances too.

Protagonist struggle though the modern mechanical world. We laugh at his antics and idiocy  but we also feel pain and pity too.  He has a poor man with out family ,friends and with no stable job also. As per my views the film is mainly  concerned with

#battle_to_make_ a_ life
         #imagining __happy_life_and
         #dream_of_a_home

It's a constant dodging through the social Elites , the police and wealthy entrepreneurs as well as authority. The end of the film is very optimistic  and hopeful.  Moreover, both  respect the emotions of each other and starts their journey ahead.....

The great Dictator is a 19th century movie, it is a American Political Satire Comedy-Drama. Charlie Chaplin the most credible British comedian and protagonist of  the film "THE GREAT DICTATOR"

The film begins with this title:

“This is a story of a period between two World Wars—an interim in which Insanity cut loose, Liberty took a nose dive, and  Humanity was kicked around somewhat.”

The Great Dictator is  profoundly represent the tale of two worlds:

The palace: where dictator Adenoid Hynkel rules, and

The ghetto: where a Jewish barber struggles to make a living and survive.

The main  comedic device of the film is the resemblance between the Dictator and the Barber, who is later mistaken for the Dictator.  The theme of the story, at its basic level, is the struggle between good and evil, reflected in the balance between the two worlds.

As much as this film is about Jews, it’s much more about Americans. When you watch this film, you will  get that  propaganda, designed to urge the United States to war against Fascism.Chaplin intended to play on the similarities between the Little Tramp and Hitler, which commentators had observed throughout the 1930s.

"The best-loved and most-hated men in the world were born in the same week of 1889; both grew up on the streets, knew poverty well, and eventually rose to sway millions of people through their performances"

Chaplin also portrays the conflict within the Jewish community about whether or not to take action against Hynkel. Chaplin considers both sides, although his use of humor implies the filmmaker’s leanings.Chaplin also mocks those reluctant to engage a ruthless dictator and sentimentalizes those willing to speak up or fight back.
